Welcome to Learn Web, guys today we are going to learn how to use the advanced options available in posts editing page in blogger (2020 Interface). So, we start our tutorial without wasting more time......
Features of options available in "Blogger Post Editing" Page
Here I will be describing advanced options in Blogger by describing every option ...
1. Lables:
If you have used Wordpress ever in your life then you get a option for categories there but as we know that in blogger we aren't provided any such options in Blogger. So,we might get confused in how to add categories in our blog. This is actually confusing although for me, when I used Blogger for the first time in 2013 I got tired in looking for categories option in Blogger post setting.I didn't got that blogger use labels instead of categories to sort articles according to the specific topic. So, I thought about writing the advanced options available in Blogger post editing option.
In blogger you need to type a Category in labels option to which your post is related...
After writing your categories (Labels) Publish your Post. Then if you want to use these labels for categories in your menu. Then you need a link......
https://"your website address"/search/label/"your category"
Add your Blog Domain in place of "your website address" and add your label name in place of "your category".Now you are all done you have successfully made link for your categories.Just paste this link and you will get to page where you can see the posts in which this label is used.
I think you might got this. So, now we move to our second option...
2.Publishing Time and date:
Under the Labels option you can see the published on option.Normally this is used to modify the time and date on which post is published. This is also useful because if you want to post every post on your blog on the same time this will be a difficult task but if you use this option you can set time and date which is shown on your blog as the time and date of article published.
Using this option is as simple as setting time and date in your digital watch. So, I think you can easily do this and Now we move to the third option available in Post Settings option....
3.Permalink:
Just under the Published on option you can see the permalink option from here you can set a custom link which is to be used for your this article. This is also easy to modify just click on custom permalink and you will be able to add a custom permalink to your article.
Illustration:
If you have understood how to add custom permalink to your article, then we can move to our next option available in post settings.
4.Location
From this option you can easily choose location which will be shown in your article. This is shown as from which location your article is published if you want to point any location then you can use this option.
5.Search Description:
You can also see a search description option in your Post Setting palette. This option is used to set a search description which will be used to show as description is search engines. If it is not added then people will see your article in place of search description.
So, if you want to add a custom search description in your article then you can add a custom search description here.
5.Options:
This option contains setting for who can comment in your article. You can select that you want to show comments or don't want to allow readers to see comments. There is only this option and i think yoou should set this option to allow.
6.Custom robot tags:
From here you can choose the custom robots tags for this article of your blog.First you have to uncheck the default option and then you can choose from the custom robots tags available.
If you have no idea what are custom robots tags then click here
So our this tutorial ends here.We will be back with a new and fresh topic tomorrow.Till Then.......
Happy Koding.......
